The helpitgo app is currently only available in Hungary. The instructions found below are merely there to illustrate the concept, some core functions and how it operates in general.
How does it work?
Using helpitgo in 7 steps
1. How do I register in the application?
For registration choose how you would like to enter the app.
Regardles of what sign-up option you've chosen, you will only be able to use the selected login method after registration!
In case you choose to sign in with your Facebook or Google account, you will be automatically logged in to helpitgo once you have logged into your account.
We get your first name, email address and profile picture from Google / Facebook.
If you prefer to register using an email address, we will send you an activation email after entering your email address and password. Click on the link, activate your registration and you can run the application.
2. How do I create my profile?
After the first login, the following information is required: profile picture, first name, email address, default address, date of birth.
(Your address is not public, nobody can see it. It is only used to measure distances. Helpitgo can determine what requests or ads are in the vicinity of your address or your phone’s current position. Likewise, you may appear as a candidate for assistance based on your address or your current position. But they will only see how far you are from each other.)
After providing the required information, we recommend you to complete your profile as a detailed, understandable presentation will increase your chances of reaching out to helpers or those seeking help.
If you want to appear as a helper, choose the interests / categories that you can help others with. This is how you can be seen as a candidate by someone asking help about a topic of your choice.
3. How can I ask for help?
If you have a problem to be solved, do not hesitate to share it with others and choose from candidates and applicants!
You can post a task by clicking on the "Ask for help" tab on the main page, or scrolling down, using the + button in the bottom right corner. Here, select the category that you think best suits your request. You can then enter a short title (which will appear in the list) and a detailed description of your task. Upload a photo, tell us how long your task is visible and where you need help. Finally, tell us what you offer in return; give the offset for the task or how you can return the help.
4. How do I choose from the helpers?
After submitting your task, the system will automatically show you which users in your area have selected to assist others in your requeste category. You can always access this list later.
Check out the profile, introduction and previous ratings of the shortlisted candidates. If you find several sympathetic helpers, you can ask them all! Start chatting with the one who responds the fastest and discuss the details.
5. How can I help?
Be the one asked for help, if you want to contribute with an interesting task! To do this, select the fields of interests you can help in your profile so you can be seen by other users. A well-chosen profile picture and a detailed, understandable introdutcion will increase your chances of being selected from potential candidates.
You can also initiate - feel free to browse others' tasks on the list, and if you think you can help, sign up for the task. If your profile makes you a sympathetic user, you can already start discussing the details.
6. How can I make an offer/advertise?
If you would like to offer a service or rental item, select the Ads tab on the home page and click the "Post an Ad" button.
First, select the category of your ad. You will then be able to enter a short title (which will appear in the list) and a detailed description of the ad. You can upload a photo too.
Choose the type of ad, that is, you are waiting for one or more candidates to apply. Finally, tell us what you ask for it: give your product’s, service’s offset, or what you would like in return.
7. How do I apply for an offer/ad?
If an ad interests you and you want the product or service to be yours, you can take it by clicking the contact button.
This will automatically connect you to the advertiser and you can chat about the details and the ad will be removed from the list so others will not be able to apply.
(If the advertiser is expecting more candidates (because he can take on more jobs, for example), you may see the same ad again. But don't worry, it's a new ad! The one you took is already yours.)

Registration / Login / Profile
1. I can’t enter the app, what can be the problem?
You can always access helpitgo using the login method you selected during the first log in. For example, if you have signed up for the app with your facebook profile, logging in with your email or google account will not work properly.
We are working to make login easier for you in case you forgot how you have registered.
2. What should I do if I forgot my password?
If you have registered to the application with your email address, you will be able to reset your password after entering your email address. You can access the password reset interface by clicking on the link sent to your email address.
If you enable your phone's settings to open links through the application, you can enter your new password within the application, if not, via a web interface. After clicking Save you will be able to log in with the new password.
3. How can I register as a company?
After selecting your login method (login with your facebook / google account or email address) and entering the required login information, you can choose whether you want to register as an individual or as a business. If you register as a company, after completing and saving your profile, we will verify the information provided and if every data is correct, we will approve the entrepreneur profile, and send you a confirmation letter to the email address provided.
Please enter real business information in your profile. They won't be seen by anyone else, but that's the only way we can approve your registration.
4. I am self-employed. Can I sign up as well?
Why, of course! At the moment we distinguish two types of profiles in the application: individual and company. If you would like to use the application as self-employed, please select the business profile when registering. Fill in the mandatory company registration number with 1, since we can also identify you based on your tax number.
Our plans include a development that allows self-employed users to provide their registration number instead of their business registration number.
5. Can NGOs also register?
Naturally. For the time being, we distinguish two types of profiles in the application: individual and company. If you would like to use the application as a non-governmental organization, please select the business option at registration. Fill in the mandatory company registration number with 1, and we can also identify you by your tax number.
Our plan is to make it possible for NGOs to provide their registration number instead of the company registration number.
6. What does the default address in my profile mean and why do I have to add it?
Full address information is never public and cannot be seen by anyone but you. If you submit a request or an advertisement, only the district will be displayed for the given city and for Budapest. Full address data is used only by the application to determine distances in the background.
In fact, helpitgo lets you see what requests or ads are in the vicinity of your given address - or, when you enable it, your device's current position. Likewise, you may appear as a candidate for assistance based on your address or your current position, but they will only see how far you are from each other.
7. When and why should I choose categories?
Select from the interests you can choose from in your profile to help other users. This way, you will be visible to other users when they post a task related to that interest and may ask you to complete a task.
You can also use the interests marked in the profile to filter the homepage list. If you activate the "Interests set in profile" option in the filter, you will only see these requests in the list.
If you don't feel like browsing through all the categories, use the magnifying glass icon! You can search for any word and you will quickly find out if there is a category on helpitgo.
8. Who and what information can they see about me?
Your profile will be accessible to other users when:
- they look at your published request, your ad;
- appearing as a candidate for a job;
- or if you apply for someone's request, advertise yourself.
These users will only see your name, age, profile picture, introduction, and ratings given from others.
9. Where can I handle the requests I have submitted or applied for?
Task manager is used to handle posted and accepted requests and ads, which you can access from the bottom menu bar.
Under the 'my' tab you will find the active requests, ie advertisements you have posted, pending , or expired ones.
Under the "I applied for" tab you will find any requests or advertisements you have applied for or you have not yet closed with the other party. Any requests or advertisements that have already been closed will be placed under the "closed" tab.
10. How can I distinguish requests and ads in the task manager?
The most distinctive feature of request and advertisement cards is that certain texts and icons appear pink on the cards, as well as on the related notifications and ratings, while the ads appear purple.
Solicitation and assistance
1. How do I submit a task?
You can click on the "Task - Searching" tab on the main page or scroll down to use the + button in the bottom right corner. Here, select the category that you think best suits your request. Enter a short title (which will appear in the list) and a detailed description of the task. Upload a photo, tell us how long your task is visible and where you need help. Finally, tell us what you offer in return: give the offset for the task or how you can return the help.
2. How should I name my request?
It's worth giving a short, catchy title that catches users attention and summarizes your request in two or three words. (Make sure you spell it correctly. It gives more confidence if the text is spelled correctly.) Explain what it is about in the description.
3. How should I set a deadline for my request?
Set a time limit for your task, until you want users to apply or to be visible on the list. You can enter up to 30 days. If specific dates may be related to your request, feel free to include them in the description.
4. What SOS request mean and when should I use it?
You can select "SOS Request" instead of a specific date at the end of the task. Use this if you have an urgent problem to resolve. In this case, your request will only be visible for 24 hours. The card will receive a separate SOS tag and a countdown bar will indicate to other users how many hours they still have to sign up before the task expires.
5. Why do I have to give an exact address for my task?
Address details are never public on helpitgo, so the address you provided for your request will not be visible, only the city and, for Budapest, the district will be visible to other users. The application uses the address in the background to show you a list of candidates available nearby. You'll see the closest person to you first. In addition, other users on the homepage will also sort tasks based on distance, so users close to your request will be able to see and apply.
6. What is an online task?
An online task refers to tasks that users can perform remotely. This could be for example a graphic work or a language lesson with video chat.
Accordingly, submit a request for online execution that needs to be communicated via chat, email or video. Otherwise, make sure to enter your location as it is not public, but you can reach nearby users.
7. What do I need to offer to complete a task?
You can choose to offer a sum of money that you consider realistic and willing to pay for the task, or you can offer an exchange service, such as a tray cake.
8. What is a candidate list? Why do I see candidates after posting a task?
When you submit a task, the app displays a list of up to 100 people who have marked the category specified for the task in their profile, indicating that they are happy to offer help on the topic. You will see the candidates sorted by distance, starting with the candidate closest to your task.
Candidates on the Candidate List can see your profile, introduction and ratings, and if you find someone sympathetic, you can ask him to complete the task. You can ask more people, but be aware that in this case, the job will be taken by the fastest candidate who confirm your request. You can access the current candidate list at any time while your job is active.
9. What if I don’t want to be seen on the Candidate List?
If you have selected interests in your profile that you would like to help with, you will appear among the candidates. If you don't want them to see you, you don't have to delete the categories. In the Settings menu you will find an “I am available” button. This is enabled by default (green). If you want to browse the app but don't want to be seen, just switch it off (gray). You won’t be seen among candidates, even if you sign out of your helpitgo profile.
10. How can I ask someone to do my task?
At any time, you can access the Candidate List, which shows nearby users who have marked the category you selected for your request, indicating that they are happy to offer help on the topic. Candidates on the Candidate List can see your profile, profile and ratings, and if you find someone sympathetic, you can ask her to complete the task. You can invite more people, but be aware that in this case, the job will be taken by the fastest candidate who confirm your request.
11. How will my request appear in the application and who will see it?
Your request will be displayed in the help request list. This list can be sorted by users by category, or sorted by the default address or current position of their device. According to this, all users see tasks sorted by distance. So you see the tasks closest to you first. By default, online or remote tasks are at the top of the list, but you can freely turn them on and off using the filter.
12. Can I edit the assignment after I posted it?
You can make changes to a published task as long as there is no confirmed application or application. You can't change the task category alone, but everything else. You can correct a misspelling, add details, replace the photos associated with the task, or change the location information for the task or the amount or offset for the task.
13. What if there is no suitable candidate?
If you are unable to find the ideal candidate by the deadline, your assignment will expire. At this time, you will not be able to see, apply for or solicit candidates. If you wish, you can repost it at any time. You can edit everything except the category before resubmitting.
14. Can I take more than one candidate for a task?
Yes, there may be more than one candidate for the same job, but only one person will eventually work for you. Once a user accepts your application, your request will be removed from the list at that moment, and others will no longer be able to see or contact previous candidates. If you fail to work with the selected candidate for some reason, you can resubmit the job after completing the task in the app by closing and ranking the other party and ask for candidates or wait for candidates again.
15. How can I sign up for a task?
If you have found a task in the list that you can help and feel comfortable with, you can click on the "Apply" button to notify the requesting user about your interest. He will be notified about your application and will accept it if you are liked by your profile. You will be notified, so you can then discuss the details in a chat, and then complete the task and evaluate each other's participation.
If you wish to be asked directly on certain topics, select the interests you can help in your profile. This will make you visible to other users when they post a task in that category. And a well-chosen profile picture and a detailed, understandable introduction will increase your chances of being selected from the several potential candidates.
16. What does this message mean: “This task has already been taken”?
Although there may be multiple applicants for each request or multiple candidates can be asked for the task, it is finally possible to connect with only one person: the requested candidate who will confirm the request as soon as possible or the candidate whose application is accepted. If you have applied for the job or been invited as a candidate, but it was eventually assigned to another user, you will receive this message when you click on the notification.
17. Where can I handle the requests I have submitted or applied for?
Task manager is used to handle posted and accepted requests and ads, which you can access from the bottom menu bar. Under the "my" tab you will find any requests or advertisements you have posted or expired, active - that is published, in progress . Under the "I applied for" tab you will find any requests or advertisements for which your application has been accepted and which you have not yet closed with the other party. Any requests or advertisements that have already been closed or expired will be placed under the "closed" tab.
18. What should I do if the other party does not behave properly?
Helpitgo gives you the opportunity to find people who need help and who can help you. There is no capacity to control all the posted tasks as described in the GTC. As a result, we are unable to investigate individual complaints. This is why we created a rating system on helpitgo. It is very important that you complete the assignment, evaluate each other numerically and with a text description. Reviews will then help other users make easier and safer choices.
Rating / Closing
1. Why evaluate each other when completing a task?
It is important that you always provide feedback on each other, as this can be used as a reference on the profile. This is how helpitgo shows you what other users are offering, what positive or negative experiences they have had. This helps you make a decision when, for example, you are asked to do a task.
2. When will the ratings I give and receive be displayed?
The ratings given to each other will only be visible when both parties evaluated each other. If you have been notified that a partner has rated you for a task, you must give them a rating to see the rating. You can then view the rating score and text on your profile.
3. Where can I see other users ratings?
You can see the other party's ratings on their profile by clicking on the “Ratings” tab. In addition to the scores you receive, you can also read the text feedback. The color of the score indicates that a rating was received for a request for help (pink) or for an ad (purple). We are working to make the evaluation system simpler and more transparent so that we can provide the confidence needed for the tasks.
